Village Government:
Juniata is governed by a five-member Board of Trustees. The board meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Village hall. The public is welcome.

Water- Sewer Billings
The Village provides water and sewer service. You will be billed monthly. Payment due by the 10th of each month. Bills not paid by the 20th of each month shall be deemed delinquent and your service will be cut off. There is an additional fee of $20 to be reconnected and a fee of $10 for collection made by the designated Village Employee in lieu of shut off.
Dogs
Juniata Code requires you to license each dog annually by or before May 1st. at a $4 fee. After June 1st. the fee is $6. Proof of rabies vaccination must be shown to acquire license. NO DOGS ARE PERMITTED TO RUN AT LARGE! Any dog found running at large will be impounded. Pets may be reclaimed by remittance of an impoundment fee. Compliance with licensing requirements if not previously licensed must be completed within 72 hours after release.
Building Permits
Building Permits are required to construct, demolish, or relocate any building or structure or to erect a fence or screen wall. You may obtain a permit and procedure information at the Village Hall.
Burning
All fires shall be built after 7:00 a.m. and completely extinguished by 7:00 p.m. and only on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays in a fireproof trash burner or incinerator. You may obtain a burn permit for an open burn at the Village Hall to be used on times and days stated above. The Village maintains a compost pile to receive grass clippings, leaves, and other yard waster as permitted by state regulation.
Yard Waste Disposal Facility
Open to Juniata residents only! Open Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday/Weekends-by appointment only. All loads must ONLY be Grass/Garden Debris and Tree Branches/Limbs. We are now also taking metal items, bin at facilitly.
Complaints
All complaints should be filled out at the Village Hall. A Board Member will then be notified and will be responsible for checking on the complaint and instructing the Clerk. If the matter is not rectified within 5 days, the attorney will be notified.
